Johnjames Bruce is a solo artist writing minimal, acoustic based alternative songs, with a post-punk edge. 
Working in a stripped back format, his songs explore themes of Faith, doubt and inner life.

 

Johnjames musical journey strangely grew from a place that didn't involve much music growing up, with his only recollection of hearing music as a child, was if his Grandad played a cassette in the car, with his household having no music or radio until he was able to have one in his room.
He has since spent a lot of time sourcing and finding music in as many places as possible, which the years of flicking through endless CDs, Cassettes, Vinyl and endless conversations about music and art, has helped him develop his own unique sound, as he finds his voice as a songwriter and artist.

Johnjames Bruce can generally be found in the DIY and alternative spaces, usually drinking a brew.
